Sometimes, when you’re travelling you take a photo that you just want to share with the world – Sunday Snapshot is about doing exactly that.
I’m going to share one of my favourite travel photos with you every Sunday and tell you why it’s special to me.
This photo was taken in April when I visited Hestercombe in Taunton.
I was on my way to an amazing blogging retreat and I had a few hours to kill so I drove to Hestercombe and went for a wander with my camera. The weather was amazing and Hestercombe is a beautiful place to spend some time.
I sat in a field reading a book I bought from the second-hand bookshop in the main house at Hestercombe and wandered around the beautiful gardens taking about a million photos! This is my favourite as I spotted this beautiful waterfall through a stone window in a wall but couldn’t figure out exactly how to get to it. It took me a little while to figure it out and get to it but when I did, it was totally worth it!
The sound of water calms me and always makes me feel more peaceful which I know sounds really corny but it really does – maybe that’s because I’ve lived by the sea all my life. There’s a picnic table just out of this shot that I sat at with my book for a good half an hour just relaxing before heading off to the retreat.
Hestercombe was the perfect place to start a lovely weekend and for the £11.80 that I paid, it was a bargain!
